One of the few things that brakes the awkwardness of watching a love scene in a theater with a bunch of strangers is realizing that you’ve seen this scene before. Such was the case when I went to see Watchmen, and noticed the surprising similarities in that nude scene to the one in 300. It’s kind of like when you’re watching Tony Scott’s True Romance and realize the love scene is just like the one in Top Gun.
Wait a minute! Profile Shot? Slow-Motion? Multiple camera cuts? The only difference between a Zach Snyder love scene and a Tony Scott love scene is the blue background!
